 Germination: Easy if sowed in the fall of the year (for cold 
stratification) in sandy, moist conditions.  It normally grows on creek 
banks. Will come up in spring.

 Uses: Medicinal
 Notes: Indian medicinal tree, like moist creek bottoms. Order and sow 
in the Fall and Winter.
 HALESIA CAROLINA. Low branched tree with white, bell-shaped flowers borne in clusters. A very good tree which is under used. Exceptionally pest resistant. Our experience has been this plant will not tolerate low spots with excessive moisture. Prefers rich, well-drained, moist, acid, high organic soils.  Price: $2.95/pkt
